Belora Statue - Soul of Nature

If you happened to venture deep into the great forest Elohim just before the fall of the kingdom, and if the creatures, and the vegetation, didn’t stop you way before you reached its centre. You might have stumbled across a striking young elf woman tending to her chores, or communing with nature. If your intentions were impure and you made the mistake of assuming she was a soft target you would have considered yourself extremely lucky if you ever woke up, but if you did you would most definitely be in a whole world of pain! Belora may had, like her mother before her, shown incredible aptitude for magic at a very early age. Magic wielding was not unusual in her clan, but the level of control of nature that Belora demonstrated was way beyond the what would be considered normal by any conventional measure. Her mother therefore took the decision to take her deep into the enchanted northern forest and raise Belora in hiding.

With her mother’s expert tutelage Belora had soon mastered even the most complex magic and further developed her love and appreciation of all nature’s gifts. The mystical creatures of the forest were charmed by her and the forest itself, its trees and other vegetation, submitted gladly to her control. In many ways it was an idyllic childhood but Belora longed to see what lay beyond the confines of Elohim.

Belora’s mother taught her little of the outside world, hoping to shield her from the growing discontent across Evoran but when the gates of hell were smashed open it was impossible to ignore, the sky grew dark and black clouds rolled across the sun. Before long Elohim welcomed in scores of elves fleeing from the horrors inflicted by the undead armies, the fey creatures understood magic more deeply than most and knew that the great forest would be able to resist and repel the dark hoards for a while, but even with their combined magic they would not hold out for ever and the undead were already starting to test the forest’s resolve with fire.
The elves shared stories of the atrocities in the lands beyond the forest with Belora and her mother.

With the sense of duty within her fired and focused like never before, Belora set out on a quest to push back those fiends from her beloved home and then push on through the lands beyond to bring her powerful magic to bear on the evil that was causing this blight on Evoran. What she saw along the way was beyond her wildest fears and imaginings, broken towns and cities, scores of scared and wounded people, diseased flora. These horrific sights did not dampen Belora’s resolve, her determination to rid her world of the undead was a shining beacon for those that encountered her. Belora’s name was soon spoken in hushed tones across the
northern territories, saviour of the living, scourge of the undead who struggled against her powerful magic
