Hermes Statue | Hermes is the winged herald and messenger of the Gods in the Greek Mythology. In the Era of Roman Empire he is also identified as Mercury. He is son of Zeus and Maia, the Pleiad. The son of Zeus is the guide and guardian. He is the protector of human heralds, travelers and roads. When it comes to speed there’s no other Olympian who can rival him. Hermes is the only Olympian who travels between the world of the living and the underworld. This particular advantage made him in charge of guiding souls to the afterlife.
