ABOUT STATUE
Before buying Ares statue , get to know him a little. Ares is a distinguished God of War and one of the Twelve Olympians in Greek mythology and culture. Ares symbolizes the spirit of battle, and when he appears in the myth, he boosts courage in the hearts of Greek warriors. Ares was not as popular as other Olympian Gods since he represented the hideous aspects of brutality of warfare. As powerful and experienced the God of War was, he had an urge for bloodlust and slaughter, therefore he was mostly feared among men. Ares represents danger and savagery to all who oppose him as he never shows no mercy.
The God of War was worshiped in the northern part of Greece and largely in Sparta where the worshipers even offered human sacrifices among the prisoners of war. In the Hellenization of Latin literature, Ares is also known as Mars in the Roman Empire Era and has a more dominant role in the Roman religion. He was portrayed more as the protector of the Roman people and government. The various interpretations of Roman writers and in later western art and literature, the representations of mythology of Ares and Mars became almost as one and identical.
ART DIRECTION
The Ares statue’s armor detail, which was inspired by the classical Roman art, adds an epic touch worthy of the magnificent Ares. Our team has ensured that the cape’s movement would remind viewers of the famous and classic statues and paintings. The Base design represents cruelty and violence of battles the God of war attends. The swords and spears that are coming out of the base symbolize the champions and warriors who stood beside Ares in great battles. The red ribbon is dedicated to the Roman and the Greek fine sculptures, while it’s a great addition to the statue.
